1. Introduction

BLOQ Social ("BLOQ", "we", "us") is the social layer of Web3, operated by BLOQ Social at 300 Washington Ave., Monroe, LA 71201, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to all visitors and registered users of bloqsocial.com and any related applications.

2. Data We Collect

Account data

Email address, chosen username and display name, password hash, optional profile fields (bio, location, links), verification statuses (email, identity, professional), and multi-factor / passkey credentials.

Wallet data

Public wallet addresses you choose to connect (Ethereum, Base, Solana, and other supported chains), signed verification messages, and on-chain identity attestations. We never request or store private keys, seed phrases, or signing material.

Content data

Posts, articles, comments, replies, likes, follows, bookmarks, direct messages, image/video/audio attachments, cashtags, hashtags, watchlists, and other public or semi-public content you create or interact with.

Telemetry & security data

Browser type and version, operating system, device fingerprint indicators, IP address (stored as a salted hash for abuse-control purposes), session identifiers, timestamps of authentication events, and limited usage analytics. Crash logs may include redacted error stacks.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the platform (authenticate, route content, deliver notifications).
  • To moderate content per our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, scams, account takeover, and harassment.
  • To improve the product through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary, functional, and analytics cookies. Full details and opt-out instructions are documented in our Cookie Policy.

5. Third-Party Processors

We engage the following sub-processors to operate the platform. Each has been reviewed for security controls and handles only the data minimally needed for its function:

  • Sightengine — text moderation (post / comment / DM body classification).
  • IPQualityScore (IPQS) — URL safety, VPN / proxy / TOR signals for abuse-control.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — privacy-preserving CAPTCHA on signup, login, password reset, and the contact form.
  • Helius — Solana RPC + on-chain data ingestion for wallet and project surfaces.
  • Cloudflare R2 — object storage for media attachments, avatars, cover images.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. Where a processor operates in another jurisdiction, the data transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request erasure of your account and content (see also our Right-to-Delete page).
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction / Objection — limit certain processing activities.
  • Opt-out of sale — California residents may opt out (we do not sell, but you may still register the request).

To exercise any of these rights, email legal@bloqsocial.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

Account and content data is retained for the lifetime of your account. Upon account deletion, content is queued for erasure per the Right-to-Delete pipeline (T+25 days for full purge, with restore window during the grace period). Salted-hash IP records for abuse-control are retained for up to 12 months.

8. Security

BLOQ Social applies industry-standard security controls including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest, content-security-policy isolation, periodic third- party security review, and an active forensic-capture pipeline for incident response.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated "Last updated" date and, where the changes are material, notify registered users via an in-app banner or email.
