Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 29, 2026
1. Our Mission
BLOQ Social is the social layer of Web3 — a place to share ideas, build a reputation, and discover projects, people, and markets. These Guidelines exist so the platform stays useful and trustworthy as it grows. Read them alongside our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
2. What's Allowed
- Honest analysis, opinion, and commentary on tokens, projects, and markets — even sharp criticism, when grounded in facts.
- Sharing your professional work, building in public, and showcasing your project page.
- Hosting public events, AMAs, and bounties.
- Connecting wallets to display your on-chain identity, holdings, and attestations.
- Constructive disagreement.
3. What's Not Allowed
- Scams: phishing kits, wallet drainers, fake airdrops, rug-pulls, fake giveaways, "send 1 ETH receive 2" schemes.
- Market manipulation: pump-and-dump signals, coordinated wash-trading promotion, fake-volume claims.
- Private-key solicitation: never ask another user for their seed phrase, signing material, or 2FA codes.
- Hate & harassment: targeted attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin; doxxing; threats of violence.
- Impersonation: see Section 5.
- NSFW / illegal content: sexual content involving minors, illegal goods, malware distribution.
- Spam: mass-DMs, follow-spam, low-effort engagement-bait, paid reply farms.
4. Reporting Scams & Abuse
If you see content that violates these Guidelines, use the Report affordance on the post / profile / project. For urgent scam reports involving an active wallet drainer or phishing site, email legal@bloqsocial.com with the URL and any screenshots. We triage scam reports with priority — typical first-response is under 4 hours during business days.
5. Impersonation
You may not pretend to be another person, project, or organisation. This includes:
- Using a public figure's avatar / display name to imply they endorse a token, project, or call.
- Spoofing the display name of an official project account or BLOQ team member.
- Copying another account's verified handle with a homoglyph (e.g. zero-for-O) to phish their followers.
Parody and clearly-labelled fan accounts are allowed provided the display name or bio makes the relationship unambiguous.
6. The BLOQ Moderation Pyramid
BLOQ uses a four-tier moderation structure. Each tier inherits the powers of the tiers below it:
Owner — Platform-wide policy, terms enforcement, irreversible actions (permanent ban, identity disclosure for criminal investigation under valid legal process).
Admin — Sitewide moderation, account suspensions, take-downs, ban appeals review.
Moderator — Removes individual posts / comments, issues warnings, locks threads. Granted to vetted community contributors.
Member — Standard user. Reports content, blocks individuals, manages their own surfaces.
7. Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, frequency, and intent, enforcement may include:
- Warning — an in-app notice; no surface impact.
- Content removal — the specific post / comment is removed; account remains.
- Quarantine — your post is hidden from public feeds pending review.
- Temporary suspension — 24h to 30d, no posting, read-only profile.
- Permanent ban — account closed, content tombstoned. Reserved for severe or repeat violations.
- Wallet flag — for confirmed scam / drainer wallets, a public warning is attached to the wallet address on every project / post surface.
8. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action against your account was incorrect, you can appeal:
- Open the suspension email and click "Appeal" — this lands you on the public appeal page with a pre-filled token.
- Or visit bloqsocial.com/appeal and submit a description of the disputed action.
- Or email legal@bloqsocial.com with your username and a description.
Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the one who issued the original action. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
