Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are commonly used to remember authentication state, preserve preferences, and measure usage. BLOQ Social ("BLOQ", "we") uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) — all in service of running the platform you've consented to use.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary
Required to operate the Service. Disabling these will break sign-in, session continuity, and security features. Examples: session identifier, CSRF token, encrypted DM session key.
Functional
Preserve your in-app preferences. Examples: light/dark theme choice, DM density, language, last-used watchlist filter, notification preference cache.
Analytics
Help us measure aggregate usage so we can improve the product. Data is aggregated and de-identified before analysis. Examples: page-view sampling, feature-usage counters, first-paint latency.
3. Cloudflare Turnstile
BLOQ uses Cloudflare Turnstile as a privacy-preserving CAPTCHA on signup, login, password reset, and the contact form. Turnstile sets a small cookie/storage entry to remember that your browser passed verification within a short rolling window. This entry does NOT track you across sites. Cloudflare's own data handling is documented at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. How to Opt Out or Manage Cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menu. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Service. Useful guides:
To opt out of analytics cookies specifically while keeping the Service usable, visit Settings → Privacy → Analytics and toggle "Share aggregate usage analytics" off.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated "Last updated" date.
