Another day chained to the desk for 12 hours, taking care of people in need. One minute you’re in the field, the next you’re not. That’s how it goes. When we work catastrophic disasters (or the mini ones), there are no weekends, birthdays, or holidays until the job is done.
Don’t shed a tear though — I’ve seen a huge piece of this amazing world and its people along the way.
But never forget the importance of taking time to keep things tidy and clean.
