We needed to ship before a token launch. Audit took six weeks — here's how.

1. Scope hard — 1500 LOC core, everything else mocked or excluded.
2. Hire two firms in parallel — Trail of Bits + Spearbit. Yes, expensive. Worth it.
3. Internal pre-audit — two senior engineers reviewing daily for two weeks before.
4. Daily standups with the auditors — not weekly. They had Slack access to our dev team.
5. No new features during audit — period.

Total cost was about $180k for both firms. We got 14 high-severity findings, 0 critical, all fixed before mainnet.
